According to Netflix's public rating system, "The Starling" is the most popular film on the service.

Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and a limited theatrical release, the dramedy appeared on the platform on Sept. 24. Melissa McCarthy and Chris O'Dowd star as a married couple dealing with their daughter's death and trying to restore their relationship.

“My Little Pony: A New Generation,” a continuation of Hasbro's iconic magical horse brand, is currently the second most popular film on the platform. The psychological thriller “Intrusion,” starring Freida Pinto and Logan Marshall-Green as a couple targeted for a house invasion, is in third place.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's animated musical adventure "Vivo," which premiered in early August, is still in the top three. “The Father Who Moves Mountains,” a Romanian play, is also on the list.

The cinematic classic "Jaws," the Adam Sandler comedy "Grown Ups," and the action thriller "Safe House" are among the films not created or solely distributed by Netflix.
